848-1/3/58 Lower Bradley Farmhouse
II
Farmhouse. Rear wing is remains of 1609 house, front range
1735 (dates from occupier). Rendered cob walls; water reed
thatched roof; brick end stacks, the right-hand stack over an
external breast. L-shaped plan including older rear wing at
right angles behind the right-hand side. The front range is a
2-room plan with a central entrance and stair hall.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; symmetrical 3-window front. Early C19
16-pane hornless sashes; central doorway with C18 6-panel door
with fielded panels; C19 gable fronted porch with
basket-arched doorway, the wooden walls of the porch of a
muntin and plank construction of the kind usually used for
internal partitions.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be as unaltered as the
exterior.
