Lodge. Mid C19, extended later C19 or C20. Rubble walls with
painted stone dressings to original part, otherwise rendered;
red tile half-hipped and gabled roofs with fish-scale bands;
ornate shaped and pierced barge boards; rubble stack with pair
of octagonal stacks to left of front wing. Gothic style.
Irregular plan with projecting wings at right angles: one set
back slightly on right, the other at rear left.
EXTERIOR: 2 storey with upper storey mostly in roof space.
Original chamfered mullioned and transomed windows under
relieving arches. Front gable end has window with 3
round-arched light over hip-roofed canted bay window. Gabled
porch with Tudor-arched doorway with planked door projects
forward from angle right of front gable and there is a 2-light
window with latticed glazing to wing right of porch.
Right-hand return end of this gable has 3-light window over
4-light window with round-arched lights. The later parts of
the building have simpler features also in the Gothic style.
