Two small terraced houses with central passageway, c1840s.
Flemish bond brick front, No.26 Stuccoed, stone rubble rear
walls. End chimneystacks are brick and the roof is of natural
slate. Each house is double-depth in plan and one room wide,
heated by end stacks. No.24 is 2 rooms wide at first-floor
level, presumably with a flying freehold over the passageway.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys high plus basement/cellar at No.24. Almost
symmetrical 3-window front. Plank front door to No.26 with
horned 12-pane sash alongside to right. Replacement front door
to No.24 with similar unhorned sash to left. Open passageway
between front doors. The first floor has three 2-light 8-pane
casement windows positioned over the ground-floor sash windows
and passageway entrance respectively. Iron grille over the
cellar light at No.24. There are structural tie bars either
side of the passageway.
INTERIOR: not inspected but may retain features of interest.
