Villa. 1803. By George Tappen, the College surveyor. Stucco with low-pitched slate roof behind shallow, battlemented parapet over moulded cornice and plain frieze. 2 storeys, 5 bays with 1-storey extension to right and 1-storey, 2-bay extension to left with 2-storey, 1-bay wing behind. Projecting, central 3 bays with ground-floor quadrant bays to Ionic, tetrastyle portico with frieze, cornice and pediment. Door flanked by blank, round-arched niches between pilasters. Sash windows with glazing bars, those to quadrant bays round-arched, those on 1st floor of central projecting section with cambered arches. Outer bay to right has tripartite sash window with console bracketed cornice and blind box to ground floor; sash window with sill band in round-arched recess above. Blank windows with cambered arches to right extension. Outer left bay has sash windows with cambered arches on both floors. Similar windows to left extension. INTERIOR: not inspected.
