Terrace of 4 cottages. Early C19. 2 storeys, 2 bays each. No.70: yellow brick with low pitched, hipped slate roof; No.72: amber brick with pantiled roof; Nos 74 & 76: red brick with pantiled roof. No.70, ground floor has round-arched doorways with patterned fanlights either side of shop window. Sash windows with glazing bars in plain reveals above. No.72, door with flat pilasters and cornice over and adjoining slightly projecting window to right. Canted bay window to left on ground floor. Segmental, gauged-brick arches to 1st-floor sash windows with glazing bars. No.74, door and sash window with glazing bars to left on ground floor framed by pilasters supporting almost full-width entablature with cornice, as if formerly a shop front. 1st floor has square-headed boxed sash windows with glazing bars and moulded frames. No.76, door with small window to right and over lights set in pilaster frame with entablature. Separate similar frame to ground-floor sash window with glazing bars to left. 1st-floor square-headed boxed plate-glass sashes. Much of front appears rebuilt. Further 1-bay extension to left with separate door. INTERIOR: not inspected.
