Bank. c1880. Red brick in Flemish bond, and ashlaring masonry to ground floor. Mansarded roof of slate with cast-iron railings. 2 storeys over basement with flat-arched dormers. 5-window range, with end ranges projecting on ground floor to form porches; upper floors project only slightly. Pilasters articulate ground floor, which is topped by entablature, the frieze of which occluded by sign fascia; the porches topped by balustrades. Round-arched entrance set under porch supported by trio of columns at each corner. All other openings are flat-arched with architraves. First-floor openings with cornice projecting on acanthus brackets, a sill band tying the centre 3 together. Dormers to end bays set in aedicules and topped by segmental pediments; 3 flat-arched dormers to centre section, set behind balustraded parapet. Right return continues main elevation's system by one bay. Stacks to left return and rear and between 1st- and 2nd-window ranges. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to area and gate to alley on south.
