Workshop, now restored as offices. c1830-40. Stock brick; recent slate mansard with dormers behind rebuilt brick parapet with spaced brick strings and stone coping. 2 storeys and attic, 6 bays with rounded corners. Doorway on left-hand corner with large window to right beneath curved fascia and cornice of former shop front. Double doors under segmental arch in 3rd bay from right. 1st floor has large segmental-arched hatch in 3rd bay from left. Stone sills and segmental gauged-brick arches to (recent) sash windows. Similar fenestration details to 1 bay returns. INTERIOR: internal machinery now removed. Set up as a chainsmith's and light engineering workshop. A rare survival from the early period of dock expansion of the once common buildings supporting industries for the docks.
