GV II
Vicarage, now dwelling. Late C19. Stock brick with stone dressings and hipped roof of slate. Gothic Revival style. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys over basement. Entrance under cusped ogee head to right-hand range, which is recessed. This entrance reached up a broad flight of stairs with parapets. 2-storey polygonal bay to gable-facing range on the left. All windows on the principal front have either mullions or mullions and transoms except for the 2nd-floor windows in the projecting range which have 4x4 sash windows. Sash windows of authentic design to 1st-floor, entrance range, with 3-pane upper sash and single-pane lower sash. Second-floor window in recessed entrance range with half-hipped, half dormer. Stack to the right return. Other elevations: to rear all windows have plate-glass sashes under plain stone lintels; the west return has 2 very tall stacks and scattered fenestration; one small window to 1st floor, east elevation. Rear has projecting wing which is rectangular in plan, the corners chamfered to 1st floor; a stone corbel is used to broach each short side to a perpendicular corner. INTERIOR: not inspected. Forms a group with Church of St Augustine (qv) immediately to the west.
