6 terraced houses. Early or mid C19. Brick in Flemish bond with doubled and trebled headers; stucco to ground floor treated as banded rustication and stucco dressings. Roof parapeted. 3 storeys over basement. 2 windows each. All entrances reached up steps, flat-arched with overlights, each set within Tuscan aedicule porch. All ground-floor windows are round-arched, except for No.235, boarded over at the time of writing and flat-arched. Upper-floor windows are flat-arched with gauged brick windows. 6x6 sashes of an original design to No.223, 229-233, the latter having Gothick glazing; No.223 has 2x2 sashes with margin lights to 1st floor, 2nd floor with 1x1 sashes with margin lights; remaining 1st- and 2nd-floor windows of Nos 225-231 rebuilt to an original 6x6 design. Stacks to party wall. Entrances to end units, Nos 223 & 233, set in single-storey porches to side. Front wall to No.223 heavily rebuilt. Upper reaches of the 2nd-floor exterior wall rebuilt in places. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: remnants of original handrails to entrances of Nos 225, 231 & 233. Forms a group with Nos 235 (qv) & 237-241 (odd) (qv).
