4 houses. 1810-1835. Brick in Flemish bond with stucco dressings. Hipped roofs of concrete tile and slate. 2 storeys over basement. 3 windows each. Steps up to entrance set in recessed range, the entrances of Nos 52 & 53 paired. Entrances with moulded architrave surround, set under a Tuscan aedicule porch. All openings are flat-arched. First-floor sill band. Entablature band below projecting eaves. Full-height pilasters on party walls and to corners of entrance-range recesses. Nos 53 & 54 have 6x6 sashes of original design. Stacks to party wall. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: cast-iron railings in anthemion pattern to No.51. Included for group value.
