House with shop. Early C19, rebuilt at back, front restored later C20. Brick with good timber shop front and gateway, moulded stone cornice and blocking course above. 3 storeys, 4 bays with gated archway entrance in left 2 bays at ground level leading to yard at rear. Panelled shop front has central double door with large window on either side, each with a decorative fanlight of radiating metal bars. Shop windows also have (altered) grilles. Oval Corinthian pilasters between openings support bracketed wood cornice at 1st-floor level which extends the full width of front. Entrance to left has double gates of plain vertical wooden grilles, shaped above to a hollow curve, with panelling beneath and to the sides. 1st and 2nd floors have flat, gauged-brick arches to revealed sashes with glazing bars. INTERIOR: derelict at time of survey, but much of the C19 interior survives. (Survey of London: Roberts H: Survey of London: Bankside: London: 1950-).
