Farmhouse. C17, remodelled in the C18. Painted or rendered
stone rubble with mock timber framing applied to the surface;
steep slate roofs on 3 levels; large rubble stack to left of
central range. Single-depth plan, built into a bank at the
rear; central C17 hall, room to left possibly also C17,
passage to dog-leg staircase right of hall and parlour
heightened or rebuilt in the C18 at far right.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; irregular front with irregularly sized
and disposed window openings with C20 windows; C18 6-panel
door with flush bottom panels towards right.
INTERIOR: has some C17 and C18 features where inspected
including C17 fireplace with ovolo-moulded oak lintel
truncated on its right where there is a recess to fireplace
wall and to rear wall; another opening to rear wall, probably
also a fireplace; winder stair in front of hall on the left;
heavy oak joists to left-hand room; dog-leg stair with
balusters boarded over; C18 fielded dado panelling to parlour
and a 2-panel door to rear right-hand corner. The roof
structure is said to have old pegged trusses.
