GV II
Planned terrace of villas, now used as offices. Mid C19.
Stucco with stucco detail; asbestos slate hipped roofs with
projecting eaves; central axial stacks and end stacks to
right. Double-depth plan, each house with probably 2 rooms at
the front, porch right of this and lower service wing on its
right.
2 storeys over basement, each house a 3:2-window range. On the
left of each front the 3-window range is symmetrical with
blind central windows, otherwise late C19 or C20 2-pane
sashes. Stucco detail includes: channelled rustication to
ground floor with segmental arches to windows in recessed
panels; mid-floor band and distyle porches with square columns
and moulded entablature.
INTERIOR: not inspected but likely to be of interest.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: low stuccoed and coped forecourt walls
with square gate-piers.
Part of a good group of mid C19 villas.
