Shop and attached house with later shop to wing of house.
Probably early-mid C19. Incised stucco and render; roof hidden
behind parapets, with moulded cornice to front part. Deep plan
on corner site.
EXTERIOR: 4 storeys; 1-window range to street front;
2:3:2-window range to right-hand return. Rusticated quoins
flanking part of right-hand return and rear and moulded
architraves to 1st floor of this part. C20 modified 12-pane
hornless sashes to Nos 33 and 33A Southside Street including
tripartite sashes to 1st and 2nd floors of street front,
paired sash above, otherwise late C20 windows in original
openings. Ground floor has old moulded cornice and fascia of
corner shop with doorway on the splayed corner; pair of glazed
and panelled doors; altered window left of doorway and window
with glazing bars to right-hand return. 3-window-range house
front of right-hand return has central doorway with 6-panel
door and later doorway on the left, now the house entrance of
No.33 also with a 6-panel door. 2-window-range front on the
right (No.12 Quay Road) has late C20 shopfront.
