II
House. Late C16 or early C17, remodelled after 1880 for General William Smith and his daughters, C20 additions and alterations. Rendered with renewed tile roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with basement, and attic to centre and gables, 4 first-floor windows. South-east (garden) facade: off-centre left entrance a C20 part-glazed door, to left are C20 French windows, to right a C20 extension with windows with glazing-bars, to far right an 8/8 sash. First floor has 8/8 sashes in plain reveals and with blind boxes, to left of centre an original chamfered single-light window. Central gable has 3/6 sash. South-west gable-end has single light and a 4-light window to ground floor and a 3-light window on first floor with stone mullions and drip moulds. Basement has blocked 2-light mullion window.
