II
Farmhouse. C17 with early-mid C19 extension to south and alterations of c1892, including brick gable end to central projection. Old part timber-framed, partly brick fronted, 1830s part rendered, with slate roof. EXTERIOR: one storey with attic; C19 part: 2 storeys, one-window range. 2-bay central gabled projection, timber-framed. One door and irregular windows. Through passage door to right of this and brick-fronted 2-bay wing on right-hand side; 2 gabled dormers with barge-boards and finials. Sashes to 1830s part. INTERIOR: 1983 List notes that some features (large chimney, diagonal stop chamfers to spine beams, former newel stair cupboard) survive. The projecting east wing has posts with shields carved on them (as capitals or 'jowls').
