GV II

Pair of gate piers and wall attached to NW pier. c1871. Piers probably supplied by Boultons of Cheltenham. Limestone ashlar. Cross-gabled piers with cusping in gables. Wall extending for approx 15m, approx 2m high, stepped downwards to west and with copings. Photographs in 1926 guide book illustrate a third pier forming pedestrian entrance and gates. A significant streetscape feature, forming an integral part of the setting of Church of the Holy Apostles (qv). (A Brief History of the Church of the Holy Apostles 1871-1921: Cheltenham: 1921-).
