Terrace of 6 houses. c1830. Stucco over brick with concealed roof and party-wall stuccoed stacks, some with cornices; iron window boxes. EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 12 first-floor windows. Central 4-window breakforward. Stucco detailing includes Doric pilasters to ends and breakforward, ground-floor windows have panelled aprons and cornices on consoles; crowning cornice, missing at left, low parapet. First floor has 6/6 sashes where original; second floor has 3/3 sashes where original; ground floor has tripartite 6/6 between 2/2 and 1/1 horned sashes. Basement has 3/3 sashes. Paired entrances: flights of steps to 4-panel doors with overlights in solid porches with incised pillars. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: window boxes to first floor at left has embellished rods and central scrolled panel, those to No.7 to ground and first floor have scrolled motif. A strong neo-Classical terrace design, only the attic storey inserted above the cornice distinguishing it from the similar Nos 20 and 22 (qv).
