Terrace of 5 houses with attached area railings to Nos 3, 5 and 7, and forecourt railings to Nos 9 and 11. c1820-50. Stucco over brick with concealed roofs with brick and stucco party-wall stacks, with iron railings to sides of steps throughout, railings and porches. Double depth plan with parlour to front and stairways to right. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basements, 10 first-floor windows (2 per house). 6/6 sashes where original, that to ground floor at right has margin-lights; all in plain reveals and with sills. 8/8 sashes where original to basements. Entrances to right, steps to 4-panel doors (some part-glazed) with overlights with glazing bars. Crowning frieze, cornice and blocking course with copings. Raised party-wall dividers and raised and coped gable end to right. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: porches to Nos 3 and 5 have scroll and lozenge motif to uprights to left and scroll and twist to right, openwork friezes and glazed roofs. Spearhead railings with stick balusters to sides of steps and area, similar boundary railings to right; area railings to No.9 have arches with Y-tracery. Ground-floor window boxes to Nos 7 and 11. A good surviving example of a modest terrace of this type and date retaining original features including porches and railings.
