GV II
Terrace of 8 houses and area railings to No.16. c1820-50. Brick with stucco facades and slate roofs, brick and stucco end and party-wall stacks, with cast- and wrought-iron porches and railings. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with basements, 17 first-floor windows (2 per house, except No.22 has 3); No.22 (at left) is taller and has entrance range to right; service ranges at rear. First-floor band; cornice remains to Nos 14, 16 and 20; low parapet and copings throughout. 6/6 sashes, 6/6 sashes with margin-lights and 2/2 horizontal-pane sashes with margin-lights where original, otherwise mainly 1/1 and 2/2 sashes; all in plain reveals and with sills, those to No.22, ground floor, on feet. Right entrances, mainly 5-panel doors with overlights where original, that to No.22 within range to right a replacement c1950-60s door. To left return (No.8) a 6/6 staircase sash with radial glazing to head. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: porches to all except Nos 8 and 22 have scroll motifs to stanchions and tent roofs. Area railings to No.16 have concave lozenge motif.
