Customs watchouse, now house, with attached walkway and observation hut. Late C18, altered, with 1952 addition. Walkway and observation hut late C19. Red brick with grey headers in Flemish bond. Hipped mansard plain tile roof, brick stack on right. Extension of red brick in stretcher bond. Observation hut weatherboarded with pyramidal lead roof with finial. 2 storeys with attic, 2 bays and 2-bay extension to left. Double doors on right below segmental arch with brackets from former cartouche above. First-floor sash window below flat gauged brick arches. Late C20 lantern fixed to wall. Brick dentil cornice and coped parapet. Late C20 2-light dormer. Rear much altered with canted bay window. Renewed attached walkway at first-floor level leads to observation hut. INTERIOR not inspected.
