House in 2 parts. C17 with later alterations and additions. Square-panel timber-framing with some small braces; painted brick nogging; part-rendered plinth. Plain tile roof with 3 full dormers. Brick stacks: to centre of ridge and to cross-wing ridge; 2 external stacks with tiled offsets on left side of wing; another stack to rear. EXTERIOR: single storey and attic. Main 3-bay range with later timber-framed outshut across front, cross-wing projecting on left, and lower 1-bay brick extension on right. Main range: small-pane casements with inserted angled wooden dripmoulds and sills; two 3-light and one 2-light casement dormer windows; larger casement to dormer of right-hand extension. Cross-wing on left: on first floor, 3-light leaded window with central casement; on ground floor, canted bay window with 4/4:8/8:4/4 sashes, the bottom row of panes boarded in, and flat lead roof. Door to left return of front outshut (The White House) and in gabled porch of right-hand extension (The Mede). Iron ties. INTERIOR: not inspected.
