Detached house. c1840. Brick, main and garden elevations rendered with lined stucco. Hipped Welsh-slate roof with deep eaves soffit and moulded eaves cornice; rendered ridge stacks and further brick stacks to wings. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 3x3 bays, with wing set back on left, and further wings to rear. Main (entrance) elevation: 6/6 sashes with projecting sills, right-hand ground-floor window an oriel with Gothick tracery and moulded lead roof. Wide central entrance has Classical architrave with corniced pilasters, frieze and leaded cornice; panelled reveals, soffit and dado; and recessed part-glazed 6-panel door with side-lights. On left, brick wing has blocked windows with deep flat arches. Right return (garden elevation): full-height canted bay-windows to outer bays, on 1st floor with 1/1:2/2:1/1 horned sashes and sill bands, flanking central 2/2 horned sash; on ground floor, full-height 3:6:3-pane windows incorporating French doors. Church Street elevation has further 12-pane segmental-headed sashes with stone sills and gauged-brick segmental arches. INTERIOR: not inspected.
