The Boileau Mausoleum approx. 15 metres east of Church of St Peter
GV II
Mausoleum. 1854 for Sir John Peter Boileau of Ketteringham Hall. Gault brick laid in Flemish bond and with ashlar dressings and quoins; roof of 4 stone slabs. Square on plan.
EXTERIOR: gabled west front with stone Doric doorcase consisting of side pilasters with capitals supporting an architrave with the Boileau arms on the keyblock. Cornice on 2 consoles. 4-panel iron door. Pedimented gable head formerly with a stone actroterion at the apex. Plain sides and rear, the sides each with 2 iron ventilation grilles. INTERIOR: not inspected.
