House, now house and hostel and attached area railings, with attached walls at rear and boundary walls and railings. Numbered right to left, described left to right. c1820-34, with late C19 alteration to 2 dwellings. Stucco over brick with slate roof, stucco end stacks; pinkish-brown brick wall and wrought- and iron railings to sides of steps. Double depth plan with single-storey service range at rear. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, 5 first-floor windows (2:3), with single-storey entrance range at left. Stucco detailing includes ground-floor horizontal rustication; first-floor band; tooled architraves to first-floor windows; crowning frieze and cornice. 6/6 sashes where original. Central entrance a Doric pillared porch with architrave, frieze, cornice and blocking course; flight of roll-edged steps to part-glazed door with overlight. Entrance at left, steps to 6-panel door with overlight in pilastered surround, frieze, cornice and blocking course. Rear retains 6/6 and 8/8 sashes; tall central 6/9 staircase sash with 'fanlight' in round-arched reveals. INTERIOR: No.95 (main range) retains open-well staircase with alternate stick and ornate iron balusters; tile floor; otherwise not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to sides of steps have embellished rods; ground-floor window guards have circle motif. Area railings have Carron Company double heart and anthemion motif balustrade. Boot scrapers to top step. Wall adjoins service range with rear doorway with plank door which is raised above and forms part of brick wall approx 2m high which extends to rear (south) and west boundaries, continuing along Montpellier Grove to arrowhead railings with arrowhead dogbars and anthemion finials to stanchions, these return to Montpellier Terrace. HISTORICAL NOTE: known as Belgrave Lodge during C19.
