2 houses and attached railings. c1820-50 with later additions and alterations. Stucco over brick with slate roof, double pitch to left part, otherwise hipped, tall brick party-wall stacks with cornices and stuccoed left end stacks; iron railings. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, with attic (except at left) 5+3 first-floor windows. Stucco detailing includes continuous moulded ground- and first-floor sill bands; attic sill band continues as crowning band over left 2 windows, which also have low, coped parapet; all windows have tooled architraves, those to ground floor have floating cornices; floating cornice over entrances. 2/2 horizontal-pane sashes to ground and first floors, all in plain reveals. Basement has 3/3 sashes; attics have 1/1 horned sashes. Entrances: to 3rd and 8th bays: flights of roll-edged steps to recessed, panelled doors with sidelights and overlights. Hipped roof has wide eaves on brackets. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: railings to sides of steps have embellished balusters and wreathed handrails.
