Pair of semi-detached houses. c1820-50. Stucco over brick, with slate roof at left (No 103), concealed at right (No 101), stucco party-wall and left end stacks; ashlar porch. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 8 first-floor windows, No 103 has attic to rear and single-storey outshut at left. Stucco detailing includes horizontal rustication to ground floor; first-floor band surmounted by end pilaster strips; continuous frieze and cornice, blocking course. Windows: outer ground floor windows are tripartite: 6/6 between 2/2 sashes, outer first-floor windows are 8/8 sashes, otherwise 6/6 sashes throughout. Off-centre entrances: that to right a part-glazed, 4-panel door within distyle Doric porch with architrave, frieze, cornice and blocking course. Rear retains 6/6 sashes. Attic dormers to No.103 have casement windows. INTERIOR: not inspected. HISTORICAL NOTE: originally Nos 1 and 2 Southfield Villas. Forms a group with Park House, Thirlestaine Road (qv).
