Villa. c1820-50. Stucco over brick with ashlar porch and concealed roof with end stucco stacks. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Stucco detailing includes first-floor band, pilasters to ends and between windows have sunk panels, continuous architrave, frieze and cornice with blocking course; ground floor has wide cornices on consoles to windows. 6/6 sashes where original. Central entrance a panelled door with overlight within distyle Ionic porch with architrave, frieze, cornice and blocking course. INTERIOR: not inspected. HISTORICAL NOTE: Painswick Road was laid out by Charles Baker following an Act of 1820, to connect Cheltenham with Painswick. (Gloucestershire Society for Industrial Archaeology Journal: Garrett JV: Charles Baker of Painswick and Cheltenham: 1989-).
