Farmhouse and attached farm buildings, now house and row of
cottages. Mid C17 origins, with mid C19 alteration and
conversion. Sandstone rubble, roughcast at front, Atworth
House whitened; painted quoins and dressings; slate roofs with
one roughcast stack to each dwelling.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys; 1 window front to each cottage, 2 window
front to house. House has central half-glazed door in gabled
porch with copings and kneelers. Four cottages have 4-panel
doors, two others 6-panel doors, all in quoined surrounds.
Windows throughout are 2-light horizontal sliding sashes,
6-paned in plain surrounds to cottages, 4-paned to house.
Openings on both floors are beneath continuous lintel bands,
the ground floor one scalloped over all openings.
INTERIOR: exposed softwood ceiling joists and winder
staircases.
