2 terraced houses with attached railings, now restaurant and dental surgery. c1834-40. Stucco over brick with concealed roof and stucco party-wall stack with iron railings and window box. Double depth plan with left side hallways. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basement, 4 first-floor windows (2:2). Stucco detailing includes ground-floor rustication, drawn into voussoirs over openings to left part, at right groundfloor window and entrance has raised architrave with keystone to entrance; first-floor band surmounted by pilasters to ends and between windows, with Doric capitals where original; crowning entablature and blocking course with copings. First floor has 6/6 sashes; ground floor has tripartite cambered-headed windows with 2/2 horizontal-pane between 2/2 sashes; all in plain reveals. Basement has 6/6 sashes. Entrances at left: flight of steps to recessed part-glazed, 4-panel doors with overlights where original. INTERIOR: retains original joinery and plasterwork, including at left a dogleg staircase with stick balusters and wreathed handrail. Otherwise not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: spearhead area and dividing railings with those to right boundary have two levels of bars and dogbars; railings to sides of steps have stick balusters; railings to sides of steps at right have X-motif. Window box to left has stick and lattice motif. HISTORICAL NOTE: shown as laid out but not built on Merrett's Map of 1834. (Merrett HS: Plan of the Town of Cheltenham: 1834-).
