GV II

House, now divided into two dwellings. Mid C18 with C19 and C20 alterations. Coloured roughcast on brick with painted quoins and dressings; slate roof with stone coped gables and end stacks. EXTERIOR: street front, 2 storeys and attic; 3-window front. Entrance to Overdee is an oak framed, ledged and braced door with false strap hinges under a rectangular overlight. Windows are recessed sashes all, except ground floor right, with glazing bars, in quoined openings with stone sills and lintels. Two attic windows are 2-light flush casements in flat roofed dormers. First floor sillband and eaves band continued across right return. Right return, 2 storeys and attic; 2-window gabled front; to right, 2-storey 2-window wing. Gable wall supported by two battered buttresses. Door to `Grey Walls' is half-glazed under a tented hood on console brackets. Windows mainly replacement sashes, without glazing bars, or C20 top hung replacements in quoined surrounds as at front. INTERIOR: 6-panel, 4-panel and wide boarded doors. Staircase with winders and twisted balusters.
