SJ2877 THE PARADE, Parkgate Village 794-1/5/109 (East side) 27/12/62 Talbot House (Formerly Listed as: THE PARADE, Parkgate Village Green Shutters)

GV II

House. Mid C18 incorporating earlier rear wing; C19 and C20 alterations. Coloured roughcast brick on painted stone plinth; timber gutters to slate roof with gable end and centre ridge stacks. L-shaped plan. EXTERIOR: 2-storey, 4-window front. Entrance in right gable wall. Windows to street are recessed sashes with single glazing bars and stone sills. Single flat-roofed dormer with sash window. Projecting first floor and eaves bands over continue across gable ends. Box guttering on shaped cantilever brackets. Right return has 2 storeys and attic; 1-window gable end to left of long 2-storey wing. Front door is 6-panelled with overlight and flanked by 3-pane wing lights. Windows are 6/6 sashes. INTERIOR: 6-panel and boarded doors, exposed beams, and staircase with turned balusters.
