Manse. 1897. Jonathan Simpson, architect. Snecked squared red sandstone with slate roof. EXTERIOR: 2 storey, 2-window range facing the street, and entrance in return elevation to Hibbert Street. Elevation to Blackburn Road has advanced gabled wing to right, with full height canted bay window with mullions and Perpendicular traceried heads to lower lights. 2-light window on each floor in left hand bay. Rear wing to Hibbert Street a 3-window range, with doorway towards centre in pediment with date, 1897. Single windows in irregular pairs each side of the door, and a 3-light window on each floor to the right. Traceried heads to lower windows. End wall stacks. INTERIOR: not inspected. The house was built as the manse to the adjacent Congregational Church, latterly United Reformed Church (qv).
