Terrace of 6 houses (some with basement flats) and attached area railings. Numbered right to left, described left to right. c1840s. Ashlar over brick where original, some now stuccoed, with concealed roofs and brick and stucco party-wall stacks; iron railings. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys on basements, 12 first-floor windows (2 per house). Detailing includes pilaster strips to either side of left window bay with arch above forming elliptically-arched recess around window; first-floor band to 2 houses at right; crowning cornice (missing to left, No.27), blocking course and copings. 8/8 and 6/6 sashes where original, those 2 to right dwellings in tooled architraves. Basements have 3/6 sashes where original. Right entrances, 2 roll-edged steps to mainly 4- and 6-fielded-panel doors, with overlights, some divided, 2 right entrances in tooled architraves. INTERIOR: No.27 has dogleg staircase with stick balusters; otherwise not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: lancet area railings and gates with ornate spearhead finials to newel posts.
