Terrace of 3 shops with flats over. c1850-60 with later alterations. Stucco over brick with slate roofs, hipped at right, stucco over brick end and party-wall stacks. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys with attics, 6 first-floor windows. Full-height service ranges to rear. Stucco detailing includes tooled architraves to first-floor windows, the heads of which are incorporated into moulded frieze. Modillions to wide eaves on moulded corbel brackets. First floor has 2/2 horizontal-pane sashes. Roof dormers have 3/3 sashes where original. Ground floor: shop fronts project. Left entrances to flats: 3-panel doors with overlights. Shop fronts have 3 windows with turned mullions, canted in at right to double doors, part-glazed, with lower panels where original and overlights; above a continuous frieze and dentil cornice (dentils missing at right) with raised brackets to ends and over domestic doors. Rear retains some 2/2 horizontal-pane sashes, some 3/3 sashes. INTERIOR: not inspected. Forms a group with Parish Centre for St Philip and St James, Suffolk Square (qv) and other C19 properties in Suffolk Parade.
