Villa. c1830-40. Stucco over brick with hipped slate roof and left end stucco stack; iron balcony. EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows, with 2-storey, single bay set back to right. Full height canted bay to left. Stucco detailing includes horizontal rustication to ground floor with voussoirs over windows; 2 first-floor windows to right have tooled architraves, that to centre in elliptically-arched recess. First floor has 6/6 sashes where original and 2/2 sashes to sides of bays, all in plain reveals and with sills. Windows to right have Venetian blinds and blind boxes. Central entrance in solid porch with pilasters and entablature, within a 6-fielded-panel door with overlight with margin-lights. INTERIOR: not inspected. SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: first floor balcony has Carron Company double-heart-and-anthemion motif. HISTORICAL NOTE: many of the houses on Tivoli Road (known as Tivoli) are shown as laid out on Merrett's Map of 1834, with several to the north end built.
