House, now divided as two dwellings. 1906. By Richard Harding Watt. Rendered over brick with ashlar dressings including random projecting blockwork and pantiled roof.

STYLE: an inventive Edwardian Free Style adaptation of an Italianate villa design.

PLAN: rectilinear plan with principal rooms to rear overlooking garden.

EXTERIOR: two storeys. Off-centre two storey entrance porch, arcaded and with heavy stone architrave. Upper windows in architraves divided horizontally by projecting transom. Two window range to left, the window architraves pedimented to ground floor. Plain irregularly placed windows in right-hand block which has low attic storey lit by windows directly under the eaves, and full-height round-arched stair window. Garden front has central shallow segmental bay with plain openings. To the left paired sashes with margin lights, irregular fenestration to the right, with three round-arched windows, one of them running through the whole height of the building. Blind panelling pierced by two small windows each side of central bay immediately below overhanging eaves. Slightly recessed beyond this, a three window range with windows in architraves, those to ground floor with cornices. Similar windows in basement storey. Many of the windows are sashes unequally divided with a high transom. To the left of the garden front a screen wall with two segmental arches, one blind, links to The Coach House (qv). Roof crowned with belvedere with four arcaded round-headed windows with balustraded sills and hipped roof.
