and adjoining north garden wall
GV II
House and adjoining garden wall. Early C17, perhaps
incorporating medieval remnants, refronted c1787 for John
Bromhead. Coursed squared rubble and brick, with stone
dressings and plain tile roof, with 3 gable and single side
wall stacks.
First floor and eaves bands, coped parapet with recessed
panels, coped gables. 2 storeys plus attics, 5 bays. Double
range plan. Central wooden doorcase in the form of a Venetian
window, mid C19, with projecting wooden cheeks. On either
side, 2 glazing bar sashes. Above, 5 similar sashes, the first
from left enclosed in a glazed box. Above again, 3 segment
headed dormers.
INTERIOR not inspected.
Adjoining garden wall, to north, incorporates a reset C15
3-light pointed arched window with panel tracery.
