Includes: Warehouse occupied by TH Lincoln and Son SOUTH
STREET.
Warehouse, now music centre. Late C18, altered 1978. Red brick
in English bond, hipped pantile roof, the river elevation
having two half-hipped gable ends with stone copings to half
gables.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys with attic. North elevation of 6 bays,
with double planked doors under segmental arch, with 2
casements to left and 3 to right. 1st and 2nd floors are
similar, but with a narrower planked door. 5 boarded
flat-topped dormers to the roof.
East elevation to South Street of 7 bays, with doorway at
left-hand end with keystone. River elevation has similar
windows, and boarded doors to each floor beneath the 2 hip
ends. All windows have brick segmental arches and are 2-light
casements.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
The warehouse faces onto Packhorse Quay which was in the
centre of the harbour and very busy in the late C18 when
Boston port experienced a major revival.
