Huntsfield Cottage, pigsty and privy to south.

House and adjoining pigsty and privy. C18; later C19 additions. Garden wall bond red brick. Clay plain tile roof with gabled ends. Large brick gable-end stack with set-offs.
PLAN: Small 2-room plan house with central direct entry into kitchen on right which has large gable-end fireplace, and smaller unheated room on left; a winder stairs rises from the kitchen beside the front door to two attic chambers. Later in the C19 an outhouse was built on the left [N] end and an outhouse with an integral pigsty and run was built on the right [S] end and a detached privy was built immediately to the south.
EXTERIOR: 1 storey and attic. 2-window west front, C19 2 and 3-light casements in cambered arch openings and two gabled dormers with cross-mullion-transom windows with iron casements; central doorway also with cambered brick arch and old plank door. Small C19 single-storey brick outhouse set back on left and C19 outhouse and integral pigsty on right with small brick-walled run at front. Rear [E] blind. The privy is a small square-plan brick building with a plain tile gabled roof and plank door.
INTERIOR: Kitchen on right has chamfered axial beam with cyma stops and large brick fireplace with slightly cambered timber bressumer with run-out stops to its chamfer. Smaller unheated room on left with later axial beam. Winder stairs with simple balustrade. Plank doors. Attics ceiled. Common-rafter couples and battens intact; clasped through-purlins.
