Formerly known as: Coach House.
Includes: Stable block of former Perdiswell Hall with attached
walls and outbuilding PERDISWELL PARK.
Stable block and house, now offices, with attached walls to
walled garden. c1780 with some C20 rebuilding. Reddish-orange
brick in English Garden Wall bond, painted and stuccoed to
front facade of stable range and house, with slate roof to
stable block and house, brick stacks, stone and brick copings
to walls. Stable range of one-and-a-half storeys, seven bays,
arranged 2:3:2. Central pedimented breakforward has full
height round-arched opening with keystone; to either side are
6/6 cambered-arched sashes and recessed panels to upper stage.
Continuous impost band. Outer ranges have 6/6 cambered-arched
sashes to lower stage with fanlights with radial glazing bars
above the impost band, all in wider and taller round-arched
recesses. Windows in plain reveals and with sills. Roof hipped
at right. Stack with oversailing course and ots to rear at
left.
House abuts at left: of 2 storeys, 2 first-floor windows.
First-floor band. 6/6 cambered-arched sashes in plain reveals
and with sills throughout. Entrance at right a 4-flush-panel
door with cambered-arched fanlight in plain reveals. Roof
hipped at left and with coped gable at right. Tall left end
and rear stacks with oversailing course and pots. Walled
garden walls abutt these buildings and forms part of rear
stable block wall, approximately 35 metres x 60 metres and
with off-centre dividing wall with lean-to sheds.
Approximately 2.5 metres high.
INTERIORS: not inspected.
HISTORICAL NOTE: Perdiswell Hall was demolished in 1956.
