House. Late C18 with later additions and alterations. Pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond, stuccoed to ground floor scored in imitation of ashlar; plain tile roof, hipped to
front, tall left end stack with oversailing course and pots.
Three storeys, two first floor windows. Ground and first floors each have two 6/6 sashes in plain reveals and with sills, those to first floor have flat arches of gauged brick. Second floor has tripartite window with 3/6 between 1/2 sashes in near-flush frame and with sill. Modillion eaves band. Entrance at left: renewed six raised and fielded-panel door with overlight with margin lights within doorcase with fluted pilasters, frieze and hood.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Nos 2-16 (consecutive) Edgar Street (qqv) form a significant group, together with Nos. 28-34 (even) Sidbury; No.12 College Precincts; Tower House, No.1 Severn Street; and Edgar Tower, College Green (qqv). Edgar Street (in which all the buildings are listed) is a fine example of a Georgian street and it forms part of the setting for the Cathedral (qv).
