House, now shop and offices. C17 origins with later additions and
alterations, including C18 front facade with further alterations
c1870s and 1960s ground-floor shop front. Aesthetic Movement
detailing. Pinkish-brown brick in Flemish bond with red sandstone
sills and plain tile roof; timber frame with brick nogging to
rear. 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. Ground floor has
plate-glass shop front with glazed door to right and further
entrance to left, a plank door. First and second floors have 8/2
sashes with sills and rubbed brick surrounds and gauged brick
flat arches with ovolo-moulded and floral motif to keystone (all
those to second floor are badly eroded); panelled 'aprons' above
and below second-floor windows. Dentil cornice and low, coped
parapet. To rear: square panels of timber framing in gable end,
restored.
INTERIOR: ground floor renewed, otherwise not inspected.
