House, now shop with storage. c1760-80 in 2 stages of build with
later additions and alterations including shop front of c1870's
and C20 dormers.
Reddish-brown brick in Flemish bond with gauged red brick flat
arches and quoins and ashlar keystones and sills; plain tile roof
hipped at left and left truncated brick stack. L-plan with
further 2-storey rear range, both with hipped roofs.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 1+4 first-floor windows. mainly 6/6 flush
sashes, first-floor outer windows are blind, all with quoins
(except at left) and under flat arches and with fluted keystones
with cornices. 2 roof dormers have casement windows. Off-centre
right entrance a 6-panel door with fanlight with radial glazing
bars in timber surround with panelled pilasters and open
modillion pediment. At left a shop front, plinth with outer
fluted pilasters and acroteria, frieze and blind box with
cornice; to left part are 2 turned mullions with bulb to top and
bottom and plate glass window between, canted in to entrance, a
renewed door with overlight; at right a 1/1 horned sash. Crowning
modillion eaves cornice. Left return has two tall 8/8 sashes,
both under elliptical arches and 2 boarded openings. Right return
has casement windows, 2 with elliptical arches over.
