II

Manor house. 1717, extended early-nineteenth century and reduced c. 1930. Built for Edward Bee. Red brick with painted brick dressings and pantile roofs, rear wing has Welsh slate roof. Three brick chimney stacks. 2 storeys.
Main south front has doorway to right with moulded wooden door surround and pulvinated hood plus four-panelled door. To left three glazing bar sashes with painted lintels and above four single glazing bar sashes with similar lintels. Above a painted band and a tall brick parapet with moulded stone coping.
West front has off-centre doorway with slightly projecting porch, to right a small window and a glazing bar sash. To left a pair of glazing bar sashes then a small doorway and a further window beyond. Above two central glazing bar sashes flanked by single tall narrow windows with single smaller windows beyond. Further small window in gable to right. East front of rear wing has single storey lean-to addition with double garage doors.
INTERIOR retains stone flagged hall floor with wooden dado panelling. Moulded door frames and panelled doors. Windows have similar moulded surrounds and panelled shutters. Fine early-eighteenth wooden staircase with barley-sugar turned balusters.
