2 semi-detached houses. c1830-40 with later additions and
alterations. Brick with painted stucco sills. Hipped slate
roof, party-wall stack to front roof slope with oversailing
courses and pots. Timber lattice porch to no. 26.
Double-depth plan with later 2-storey flanking entrance wings
under parapeted roofs set back from main facade. Single-storey
service ranges to rear.
3 storeys. 6 (1:4:1) first-floor windows. All windows 6/6
sashes in plain reveals under flat gauged brick arches and
with sills. Pilaster strips to ends and centre. Roll-edged
step to entrance f No.26 which has a 6-panel door, top 4
raised and fielded, bottom pair flush-beaded, radial-pattern
fanlight with margin-glazing. The entrance wing to No.27 has
been brought forward to form an open porch the upper floor
supported on 2 semi-circular, gauged brick arches, one to the
front, one to the side (west). 4-panel door, top pair glazed,
lower pair flush-beaded, radial pattern fanlight with
margin-glazing.
