Villa. c1820 with later additions and alterations. Stucco over
brick with hipped slate roof, stucco stack to left end and 2
stacks to hip, all with oversailing courses and pots; cast-iron
balcony.
PLAN: double depth plan with central entrance and service range
at rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys, 3 first-floor windows. End Tuscan pilasters,
central breakforward, crowning frieze and wide eaves. Outer 8/8
sashes, that to centre of first floor has 8-pane French windows
with margin-lights, all in plain reveals and with sills, windows
to ground floor in taller, round-arched reveals with plasterwork
fan.
Central entrance a 4-panel door, the lower 2 panels flush-beaded,
otherwise raised-and-fielded, in Doric porch; over porch a
balcony with double-heart-and-lozenge motif.
Left return: 3 first-floor windows. Outer first-floor openings
are blind, otherwise 8/8 sashes, those to ground floor in taller,
round-arched reveals, 2 with similar plasterwork fans. Rear has
8/8 and 6/6 sashes; 4-flush-panel door.
INTERIOR: noted as retaining original joinery including panelled
shutters to some windows and 6-panel doors.
