House, now offices. c1820. Red brick with stucco detailing.
Hipped slate roof, parapet to front and part of each return,
links to end stacks, oversailing detail and pots. Timber
porch. Double-depth plan with central entrance hall and
staircase. 2 storeys. 3 first-floor windows. Symmetrical
facade, full height recess to centre with semi-circular arched
head. Stucco detailing includes plinth, cornice and parapet
with ramped centre section, sills and keystones. 8/8 sashes to
left and right, all in plain reveals with sills and flat
gauged brick arches, fluted capped keystones; centre
first-floor window has a pair of tall side-hung casements,
each of 3-panes with margin-glazing, radial-pattern fanlight
also with margin-glazing. Step to renewed 6-panel door,
reveals have lush-double-bead panels, Tuscan-style porch with
panelled soffits; ellipse and petal design fanlight. 6/6 and
8/8 sashes under cambered arch heads to return elevations.
INTERIOR: retains some original features including staircase
with square balusters, wreathed and ramped handrail; 6-panel
doors; doorcases have panelled reveals, single-panel
architraves with carved leaf decoration to paterae, cornice;
skirtings and picture rails; enriched plaster cornices;
entrance hall believed to be stone-paved.
