Piers, steps and walls on NW side of
entrance forecourt to Moor Close
GV II
Piers, steps and walls forming part of the entrance forecourt
to Moor Close (qv). 1911, by Oliver Hill. Red brick and York
stone. Central flight of 4 rectangular stone steps on entrance
axis of house. Flanked by 2 tall panelled brick piers with
moulded stone caps. Low retaining wall on each side, on right
extending approximately 5 metres; on left approximately 6
metres to lower brick pier of similar design.
