Hall house now cottage. C16 altered and extended C17, early
C19 and C20.
MATERIALS: part painted brick, part timber framed with painted
brick infill. Old tile hipped roof.
PLAN: formerly nearly square plan 2 framed bays, now with
extensions on right hand and at rear.
EXTERIOR: 2 storeys. Single large chimney at rear with clay
pots. C19 and C20 casement windows with glazing bars. Entrance
(west) front: some timber frame exposed. Two, 2-light windows
on first floor, single 3-light and single 2-light window on
ground floor, last with segmental arched head. Plain plank
entrance door on left in wide wooden frame under C20,
bracketed hood.
INTERIOR: inserted C17 joists and principal beam with chamfers
and shield stops. Jowled posts and large curved brackets to
tie beam on first floor. Bread oven in chimney at rear.
